I searched my business and nothing came up. It is one of the most common frustrations we hear. The good news: the causes are usually identifiable and fixable.
First, search the right way
Searching your exact business name should show your site or profile. If even that fails, you likely have an indexing or profile problem. If your name shows but service searches do not, that is a ranking problem.
Reason 1: Your site is not indexed
Check with a site:yourdomain.com search. If little shows, you may have a stray noindex tag, a blocking robots.txt, a brand-new site, or no sitemap submitted. Fix these and request indexing in Google Search Console.
Reason 2: No Google Business Profile
For local and map searches you need a verified profile. Claim, complete, and verify it.
Reason 3: Thin or unclear content
Add clear headings, service descriptions, and location terms. Create dedicated pages for each core service.
Reason 4: Strong competition
Build reviews, improve site speed and content, and target less competitive long-tail and Romanized Nepali queries first.
Reason 5: Technical problems
Slow load times, broken mobile layouts, or server errors can suppress rankings. Test on mobile and fix crawl errors.
Reason 6: Inconsistent business details
Standardize your NAP everywhere and clean up duplicate listings.
A diagnostic checklist
Check indexing, profile verification, sitemap submission, crawl errors, mobile speed, and NAP consistency. Work through these and you will usually find the culprit.
